DESTINY AND DESTINATION !

Destiny and Destination
DESTINY AND DESTINATION

2Corinthians 9:8

“And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.”

Many of us are concerned about what has happened to us in the past or what is happening to us at the moment. We often think wherever we are that moment is our destiny. It could be a job , it could be a business , It could be a family or it could be even retirement . So we rarely take any pain or effort to move on and ahead. Paul says in

Philippians 3:13

Brothers, .............. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead

I believe GOD is wondering when we will reach the destiny HE has prepared for us. He has plans for us and His plans for us are much higher than our plans. We will not know our destiny without knowing God's plans for us..

In God's plan, Abraham must become a father of nations. Abraham did not have Isaac for several years. He made things miserable by taking Hagar's help, and yet these things did not stop him from becoming the father of nations. He had to move on. The more he moved God showed him what to do next. If he refused to move he would not have known how to become the father of nations.

Eventually he became the Friend of GOD..

DESTINY HAS DESTINATION.

In God's plan, Joseph should teach elders and Senators

Psalm 105:22

“To instruct his princes as he pleased and teach his elders wisdom.”

God revealed to him that He will raise him up above others in his family. He held on to this personal revelation and it brought several unexpected reactions from people around him. Being in the pit or the prison did not stop him from moving forward. Many people managed to put him down yet he moved on. The word of God says in Isaiah 61:7

“Instead of their shame my people will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace they will rejoice in their inheritance; and so they will inherit a double portion in their land, and everlasting joy will be theirs.”

Joseph set his eyes on the double portion in every situation, it helped him move on. I see many people of GOD unable to move on because of offense. Joseph destiny brought him to the destination. From the pit, through the prison to the palace, He was able to teach wisdom to the Senators and the King.

DESTINY HAS DESTINATION

In God's plan David should have the GREATEST name ,

Now then, tell my servant David, 'This is what the LORD Almighty says: I took you from the pasture and from following the flock to be ruler over my people Israel. I have been with you wherever you have gone, and I have cut off all your enemies from before you. Now I will make your name great, like the names of the greatest men of the earth”

(2 Samuel 7-9)

He is an ordinary shepherd boy - how will he become a ruler? David had to look for enemies, Every time he has an enemy he knew God will be with him to put his enemy down. Every time his enemy goes down he is rewarded and promoted .

David's name became so great that God established his throne forever and CHRIST came in David's line.

DESTINY HAS DESTINATION

In God's plan, Jesus a carpenter's son should become the KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS. How will Jesus become what God wants him to become:by doing miracles? By preaching the GOOD NEWS? By caring for the poor? By living a sinless life? By suffering and dying for peoples sins? By rising up from the dead?

Today many people think their destiny is suffering. they do not move to

resurrection and ascension..

Jesus had to allow God to make HIM ascend and then He received the name above all names. The Bible says God gave him the name above all names that every knee shall bow an every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. Philippians 2.7-9”but made himself nothing taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death- even death on a cross! Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name,”

DESTINY HAS DESTINATION

In God's plan Saul a murderer should become an apostle and stand before kings in Rome.

“Lord, “Ananias answered, “I have heard many reports about this man and all the harm he has done to your saints in Jerusalem. And he has come here with authority from the chief priests to arrest all who call on your name.”

Acts 9:13, 14

So Paul decides to sail to Rome after serving the Jews and Gentiles in Acts 23:11 “The following night the Lord stood near Paul and said, “Take courage! As you have testified about me in Jerusalem, so you must also testify in Rome.” Paul has to go to Rome because all the kings are in Rome..He does so and meets with Felix, Agrippa and Caesar .Paul continues to minister in Rome for several days.

Those who believe in God have destination too
YOUR DESTINY HAS DESTINATION TOO

Are you willing to move on in every situation?

Are you eager to be intimate with God so that He will reveal your destiny to you?

Are you committed to move to your destination according to God's plan?

May the GOOD Lord open our eyes to see whether we are close to our destiny or still far away..

Our destiny gives us our destination. God bless
