Refuge in Divine Righteousness!

Divine help is always available! Jud 2:1;II Chron 15:12.

KING of JESHURUN Devotions on Psalm 31:1-4


Before we begin our Bible study Let us recite this verses:

A.“ Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path”( Psalm 119:105).

B.“God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth” ( John 4:24).

If you are new to the Bible then recite this:

A."For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16).

B.“Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God's wrath remains on him" (John 3:36).

 

Psalm 31

 ¹ In you, LORD, I have taken refuge;
   let me never be put to shame;
   deliver me in your righteousness. 

Taking refuge in Divine presence is what millions are seeking for comfort today.Are you taking refuge in the LORD.King David is taking refuge.What is your problem today.Have you taken refuge in the LORD.Refuge camps are meant for those who are facing hardships in their life.The following are the meaning of  Word Refuge(Noun) from the free dictionary.

1. Protection or shelter, as from danger or hardship.

2. A place providing protection or shelter.

3. A source of help, relief, or comfort in times of trouble.

David is searching for refuge and found the refuge in Divine presence.Dear Reader whatever is your situation right now take refuge in God. What benefit will you get by taking refuge in the LORD?.The first thing is you will not be put to shame.Often times we are put to shame by the people around us.And when we do not take refuge in the LORD and follow as per his guidance we will be put to shame.But if we take refuge in him you will never be put to shame in the very important matters of your life.He is asking God’s help and deliverance from the Divine righteousness.Why not on His own righteousness.

1.Our righteousness are Human good is like a filthy rags.To have goodness in not bad but:

“All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags” (Isaiah 64:6).

Suppose when stand in front of God and say that since I was born I did many good acts and give me salvation. God’s answer will be your goodness is like a filthy rags.Many would be wondered by listening this words from God.So what righteousness is needed.God is righteousness and His righteousness is revealed through his Son Jesus. Paul uses “righteousness” to describe the gracious gift of God to men whereby all who believe on the Lord Jesus are brought into right relationship with God. This righteousness is unattainable by obedience to any law, or by any merit of man’s own, or any other condition than that of faith in Christ. The man who trusts in Christ becomes “the righteousness of God in Him” (2 Corinthians 5:21). He becomes in Christ and because of Christ all that God requires a man to be, all that he could never be in himself. Is this our experience? So by believing and taking part in the righteousness of Jesus you will be always delivered.If you are missing the righteousness of Jesus in your life,Ask God today to bless you with His righteousness.No matter what the circumstances you are facing! God will surely deliver you from His righteousness if you have His righteousness.

Christ is the Rock!

² Turn your ear to me,
   come quickly to my rescue;
be my rock of refuge,
   a strong fortress to save me. 

He should be your Rock and a strong fortress.People today are building strong weapons and artillery and taking refuge so that they will be rescued from it.No This can’t always saves man.David had all this fortress and mighty army.But He relied on the Divine rock and fortress.Do you want to know what is that rock in the Bible? 

“And all of them drank the same spiritual water. For they drank from the spiritual rock that traveled with them, and that rock was Christ” (I Cor 10:4).

³ Since you are my rock and my fortress,
   for the sake of your name lead and guide me. 

Here as he made Christ as the Rock and fortress for the sake of His holy Name to lead His life and guide.How important is your life today to be guided and lead by God’s word.Don’t miss the opportunity of lead by God’s word and guidance.

⁴ Keep me free from the trap that is set for me,
   for you are my refuge.

In the 4the verse he is praying to be set free from the trap by the enemy.The traps will always laid by the enemy as he is in control of the cosmic world.What are the traps lie ahead of us by the enemy ? Where is your time,money and effort is going?Spend your time,money and effort for God. Many are trapped in the cosmic desires of lust of flesh,lust of eyes and boasting. 

"Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness!..(Matt 6:33)

Do Not Love the World :

“Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.For everything in the world—the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does—comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever” (II John 2:15-17). 

Let us pray:

Our Father in Heaven make us to take refuge in you.prepare us to live by the standards of your righteousness.Be our Rock and fortress.Set us free from the traps of the evil one.In Jesus Name we pray.Amen!
