TERMINATING THE PRESSURE OF PHILISTINES (T-POP) IN OUR LIFE!
“Then Samuel took a stone, and set it between Mizpah and shen and called the name of it Eb’en-e-zer, saying, hitherto hath the Lord helped us” (I Sam 7:12).
It happened at the time of Prophet Samuel that Israelites were gone astray from their faith in the Lord and were constantly under the pressure of their enemies Philistines. At this time of pressure all the assemblies of Israel were seeking a help which can destroy their fear of the enemy of Philistines. In this critical juncture God helped Israelites, he didn’t forsake them but in his eternal compassion he provided them the divine guidance through Prophet Samuel. Sometimes the Believer in Christ is led through the valley of this experience called “T-POP” (The pressure of Philistines).
The T-POP in our life may vary in different ways as per the divine providence in our life.
The TPOP in our life may vary in different ways as per the divine providence in our life. This sufferings like:
1. Health: Physical pain, loss of health, organic health etc.
2. People: we suffer because of other people. It may be our family members, office members, members of the society or any members of the human race in general. Eg: accidents, murder, thefts, bribery, rape, terrorism etc.
3. Privation: Lack of something, lack of food and nutrition for the prolonged period of time, lack of shelter, lack of money, bankruptcy, lack of friends etc.
4. Weather: Too hot, cold, breezy, stormy, Hurricanes, humidity, earthquake etc.
5. Mental suffering: Common fears or phobias of life, mental anguish, anxiety, anticipations, depressions, intensively and extensively worrying about the horrors of future life. E.g.: Anxiety in the life of a retired person
All this pressures in our life is meant for blessing!
The children of God should not press the panic button or should not be guided by the Negative volition of the mentality of their soul, rather than adhering to the Human viewpoint (Humanistic philosophies, phsycological principles or any natural metaphysics). It is divinely mandated to seek the divine guidance to find out the solution for the problems.
There was tremendous pressure existed in the life of Israelites regarding the attack of philistines in their life. Men of the Israelites were under psychologically under pressure.
There was tremendous pressure existed in the life of Israelites regarding the attack of philistines in their life. Men of the Israelites were under psychologically under pressure.
“And when the children of Israel heard it, they were afraid of the philistines” (I Sam 7:7).
My friend children of Israel were afraid of the philistines!
What are you afraid of in your life?
Are you afraid of what to eat? What to wear? Where to stay?
Are you afraid of Monetary suffering? Debts? Unemployment?
Are you afraid of your future? Marriage? Children? Health? Wealth?
Here is the divine guidance available to you to come out of these live problems!
Here is the still small voice of the Lord you are hearing and need to listen to it.
“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding” (Prov 3:5).
God is expecting you to come and experience to a place called “MIZPAH”.
What is mizpah? Well mizpah is a place in Israel but in the divine viewpoint it is the place where you can acquire the divine resources and blessings in your life.
Now the question is have you identified your mizpah?
Mizpah is the place where you can hear the voice of the lord. God leads each person in their life in a different way to hear his still small voice. And surely this is what Mizpah in your life. If you didn’t identified your mizpah, ask God to find your mizpah surely God will lead to your mizpah where you can fulfill the divine viewpoint in your life.
Hear his voice!
“And Samuel spoke unto all the house of Israel, saying ,If ye do return unto the Lord with all your hearts, then put away the strange gods and Ashtaroth from among you, and prepare your hearts unto the LORD, and serve him only and he will deliver you out of the hand of philistines” (I Sam 7:3).
You need to leave all your Human Viewpoints in your life and adhere to the divine viewpoint in the every aspect of your life.
Now come to experience the Mizpah
“And Samuel said, Gather all Israel to Mizpah, and I will pray for you unto the LORD” (I Sam 7:5).
All the Israelites obeyed the call of the Lord in their life and came to Mizpah
“And they gathered together to Mizpah and drew water, and poured it out before the Lord and fasted on that day, and said there, we have sinned against the LORD. And Samuel judged the children of Israel in Mizpah” (I sam 7:6).
First you need to come to Mizpah and drew water symbolizes to extract the Bible doctrine in to our souls!
“But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up to everlasting life” (John 4:14).

“It is written; Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God” (Matt 4:4).
So drink the Bible doctrine and eat the Bread of life!
Then starts the phase of pouring symbolizes the result of imbibing the Bible doctrine in our lives. When you start receiving the Bible doctrine and live by the standards of bible doctrine you start pouring it to others before the lord. Also pouring symbolizes the attitude of refined prayer life by imbibing the Bible doctrine. It is sure when you are filled with the word of God you never keep quite rather you pray or you pour it to others. It is like loading a gun with bullets and start firing!
Here are the great Heroes of faith who poured out their prayers in the presence of God.
“When I remember these things, I pour out my soul in me: for I had gone with the multitude, I went with them to the house of God, with a multitude that kept holyday”. (Psalm 42:4).
“Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us” (Psalm 62:8).
“Arise ,cry out in the night :n the beginning of the watches pour out then heart like water before the face of the Lord: lift up thy hands toward him for the life of thy young children, that faint for hunger in the top of every street”(Lam 2:19).
Fasting experience
It is the dry experience in our lives. Thus after the phase of pouring experience we will come to the experience of humbling in our lives by fasting and purging the unholy things in our life! We come to experience of humbling ourselves in the presence of the lord by confessing our (Mental attitude, Verbal and overt sins) in our life.
Experience of Confession (REBOUND)!
Even though we are positionally sanctified in Christ we need to go through the experiential sanctification in our day to day spiritual life.
“If we say that we have n o sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us” (John 1:8-10).

And now know that the more your spiritual life advances the more pressures are intensifies as the philistines were later started attacking the Israelites in the Mizpah. The more you grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ the more pressure are intensified in our lives.
“And when the philistines heard that the children of Israel were gathered together to mizpah, the lords of the philistines went up against Israel….” (ISam 7:7).
Then again the Israelites cried for the help and sought the prayers of Samuel. Even when we go through these experiences it is better to seek the guidance of the servant of God and seek the help of prayer.
Samuel once again remembered the doctrine of Christ‘s propitiation for our sins and of the whole world.
“And Samuel took a sucking lamb, and offered it for a burnt offering wholly unto the LORD: and Samuel cried unto the Lord for Israel: and the LORD heard Him” (I Sam 7:8).
Our prayer life should be always based on the doctrine of Christ’s Propitiation for sins and of the whole world. We need to think that he became ransom for sins, so that w are eternally saved for the eternal life from the eternal lake of fire.
“The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, behold the lamb of god, which taketh away the sin of the world” (John 1:29).
“And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not of ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world” (I John 2:2).
Thus remembering the sacrificial death of Christ in the beginning of prayers will make our prayers to be heard in the presence of God.God has given his Son Jesus for the welfare of our eternal future and he had stored super grace blessings to each and every one who lives by the Divine protocol plan of God on this earth.

"He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?" (Rom 8:32).
We see that God heard the prayers of the Samuel. Even god hears our prayers when we follow these principles in our spiritual lives. We need to understand that GOD allows all these pressures of life so that we glorify his Name through this darkest experiences and lead many people to christ who are under the similar pressures and without any hope in their lives.
“And as Samuel was offering up a burnt offering, the philistines drew near to battle against Israel: But the LORD thundered with a great thunder on that day upon the philistines, and discomfited them: and they were smitten before Israel” (I Sam 7:10).
We see that the pressures were intensified to maximum they drew near to annihilate Israel but God came to rescue! My dear friend it is the same even in our lives there was a time in my life that all the pressures were intensified in my life all the problems sought to destroy me ,I thought I was finished but exactly at the final stage (Climax) of life God came to rescue!
"Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord" ( Rom 8:35-39).
GOd is good (Faithful) all the times! This is my experience! Hallelujah!
At this time if you are going through the final stage (Climax) of life remember God will come to your rescue. There is no problem which is too bigger to be solved in our life, you may may be thinking with your human viewpoint that some thing is impossible to be changed or to be achieved but nothing shall be impossible unto God!
Your problems will be dissolved and your enemies will be destroyed before your very eyes. Pray and see the work of the Lord in your life.
“And the men of Israel went out of Mizpah, and pursued the philistines and smote them, until they came to under Beth car” (I Sam 7:11).
All your pressures will be smitten we will smite our enemies with power of the LORD.
Believe it and experience it.

Remember that the God of Ebenezer is ready to help you in your life. Be ready to accept his help in your life.
My friend now ready to say that:
“…For he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee!
.So that we may boldly say, the Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me” (Heb 13:5-6).
