On 21/05/2013 we had a thanksgiving meeting on occasion of my father’s 68th Birthday celebration with the body of Christ, the near & dear in the presence of God. Bro.Stephen Anthony Raj (Divine Grace Lutheran Church) shared the word of God and Br.Jeshurun had it translated the message into Telugu language from Psalms 91 chapter testifying that Pastor.Veeresham is a man of God who dwelled in the shelter of God. “Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty” (Psalm 91:1).God has rescued him from the heart attack as he took refuge in Him 2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress,     my God, in whom I trust.” 3 Surely he will save you 68th year of blessing to my father Pastor.Veeresham     from the fowler’s snare     and from the deadly pestilence. 4 He will cover you with his feathers,     and under his wings you will find refuge;     his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. 5 You will not fear the terror of night,     nor the arrow that flies by day,  6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,     nor the plague that destroys at midday. Bro.Anthony highlighted my father’s experience in the hospital as how God exactly  fulfilled His promises according to Psalm 91 as there was some people were dead before entering the hospital for treatment ,some died during the treatment and some after the operations. Even-though there were two people who were right and left to my father for the by-pass surgery had died during and after operations simultaneously. 7 A thousand may fall at your side, Bro.Shivam celebrating the cake     ten thousand at your right hand,     but it will not come near you. 8 You will only observe with your eyes     and see the punishment of the wicked. Br.Anthony stressed there is a condition if the believer is ready to take refuge in Him alone.God helps us when we take refuge in Him and make our most of our time in His dwelling. 9 If you say, “The Lord is my refuge,”     and you make the Most High your dwelling,  10 no harm will overtake you,     no disaster will come near your tent. 11 For he will command his angels concerning you     to guard you in all your ways; 12 they will lift you up in their hands,     so that you will not strike your foot against a stone. 13 You will tread on the lion and the cobra;     you will trample the great lion and the serpent. 14 “Because he loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him;     I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. 15 He will call on me, and I will answer him;     I will be with him in trouble,     I will deliver him and honor him. This 68th birthday of my father is nothing but the grace of God with long life satisfying and renewing his youth overcoming the  deadly pestilence with the blessings of God. 16 With long life I will satisfy him     and show him my salvation.” My parents offering fruits,sweets and new clothes to Ashok We had an opportunity to make the Bridegroom (Pellikodukuni cheyuta) of my brother-in- law Mr.Ashok. In this ceremony at our church all the relatives and well wishers gathered and they smeared Mr.Ashok with turmeric paste (Nalugu - which is a mixture of flours and turmeric powder) and oils. This is done to cleanse their skin, so that a natural glow is radiated after they bathe. This is where the actual ceremony starts. We have given a new set of clothing to wear and blessed that everything goes by well in the preparation of His Matrimony. King of Jeshurun Assembly blesses the matrimony of Mr.Ashok Kumar to be held on 23/5/2013 at CSI All saints Church at Tirumalgiri.The programme was concluded by a word of prayer,Lord’s prayer, Benediction and serving of love-feast for all the guests who graced the occasion.
